It's that time of the year again when Christmas will be there before you know it!
The DIBA (Dutch Irish Business Association) Christmas Event will take place on Friday 8th December. We have decided to change the event from the usual luncheon to an evening dinner, so there will be no need to worry about having to get back to work and we'll have an opportunity to go for a pubcrawl afterwards.
- DIBA Christmas Dinner
- Friday 8th December
- 17.30 - 21.00
- The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke
- (3rd floor Brown Thomas)
- €39.50 (Early Bird €33.50)
We are delighted to announce that the Christmas dinner will take place in ‘The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke’ in Brown Thomas. Johnnie’s restaurant has an excellent reputation and we look forward to enjoying some great culinary delights. And it has even been rumoured that there might be some typical (round) Dutch snacks when we arrive!
There is another reason we chose Brown Thomas as the location for the event. As you know, the DIBA's main aim is to provide networking opportunities between Dutch and Irish (business) people. We are therefore always looking for business links between Ireland and The Netherlands. Not many of you might know this, but there is a special connection here: the two flagship department stores in each country, Brown Thomas in Ireland and De Bijenkorf (The Beehive) in The Netherlands, are both owned by the Irish - Canadian Weston family.
We are delighted to announce our speaker will be Joe SAVAGE, Deputy General Manager for Brown Thomas Dublin, who will enlighten us on the above and more. We hope to welcome you on Friday 8th December!
The DIBA Christmas Event will include:
- Reception: Drinks & Dutch snacks
- Dinner: Three course Johnnie Cooke meal with wine
- Speaker: Insight into the workings of one of Ireland's (and Holland's!) most famous department store(s)
- Raffle: Brown Thomas will offer a range of goodies and KLM has offered two tickets (raffle proceeds will go to charity)
(Brown Thomas closes at 21.00)
